Kat Cole
Originally from Honolulu, Kat discovered dance while attending the University of San Francisco, receiving her BA in Creative Writing and minors in Dance and Performing Arts. While attending USF she had the pleasure of working with Amie Dowling, Eli Nelson, Katie Faulkner, Kelly Kemp, Natalie Greene, and the Dance Generators. She currently works as the Development Associate for CounterPULSE, dances with kelly kemp & company/number 9 dance and 13th Floor Dance Theater, and collaborates with The Collage Theater. Through her creative endeavors, she explores the written word, the body in motion, and the narratives that weave these forms together.
Eric Garcia
Eric Garcia is a choreographer, visual artist, teacher, and activist whose feet are deeply rooted in the Bay Area. He stumbled his way into the dance scene as a student of the University of San Francisco where he graduated with a B.A. in Performing Arts and Social Justice. Under the mentorship of local artist Amie Dowling, he works with various groups of currently and previously incarcerated men, collaboratively creating and performing pieces (film and live work) based off of personal narrative and the issues surrounding mass incarceration. Continuing his work in community-based arts, he volunteered as a dance instructor with Center for Elders and Youth in the Arts and performed with the Dance Generators, an intergenerational dance company. Eric proudly works as the Production Coordinator with Fresh Meat Productions, assists Mica Sigourney/VivvyAnne ForeverMORE! with the WORK MORE! production series, and has an internship at Quinn Associates. He performs with Jenny McAllister's 13th Floor Dance Theater, Lisa Townsend Company, and Kelly Kemp's number 9 dance.
